Hill & Adamson Walking Tour: Calton Hill and Rock House

Scottish National Portrait Gallery

22 Sep, 2-4pm

Starting at the Portrait Gallery and finishing on Calton Hill, join Roddy Simpson (Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh and author of The Photography of Victorian Scotland) who will lead the tour from our Hill & Adamson: A Perfect Chemistry exhibition to an exclusive behind-the-garden-wall visit to Rock House, the home they shared and worked from the 1840s. This tour complements the historic city tour on Sun 24 Sep with Alastair Learmont. Please come dressed for the weather, and be ready and able to walk at a reasonable pace. Tours cover less than two miles of walking and are generally appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, but please use your best judgment. The tours will go on rain or shine. However, in cases of severely inclement weather on the day of the tour, the tour will remain in the gallery.

We recommend booking to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited to 15 places. See the link below to book tickets, £12 (£10), PG.
