Simon Baker is Senior Curator, International Art (Photography) at Tate, and has been invited by Stills to present a talk in Edinburgh as part of our 40th anniversary. Since his appointment in 2009 he has worked on acquisitions, displays of the permanent collection and exhibitions at both Tate Modern and Tate Britain, and in advisory roles for Tate St Ives and Tate Liverpool. With reference to recent projects, he will discuss strategies for exhibiting and collecting photography at Tate and the processes of identifying and selecting work for acquisition or display.
