The first talk of the semester for the Edinburgh Napier University Photography Lecture Series.
Simon Crofts is an international photographic artist, making his living as a photographer. He lived in Russia and worked as a lawyer for six years during the ‘90’s when the country was transforming into wild capitalism. He then lived in Poland for six years, and is now based in Edinburgh.
Simon's book "Expectations" was published by the German publisher Kehrer Verlag, and exhibited at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam. Simon describes it as "four visual poems about Ukraine". The photographs were featured in Die Zeit, Bird in Flight, the Telegraph, Calvert Journal, Professional Photographer magazine, the Guardian, Fototazo, aCurator etc..
