In 2014 Alex Boyd was appointed as the Artist in Residence for his native North Ayrshire and tasked with documenting the landscapes of his youth.
The resultant body of work The Dusk Water is a celebration of the wild and dramatic rivers and moorlands of the west coast, the islands of the Clyde, and the mountainous peaks of the Isle of Arran.
A collaboration with local artists and archaeologists, the exhibition will feature large scale photographic prints, tintypes and etchings.
The exhibition will take place in the A-listed Venetian Gothic Trinity Church, designed by celebrated Victorian architect Frederick Thomas Pilkington.
